September on tour: Cheltenham, Brentwood and the road to China
The September 2026 snooker schedule brings consecutive English events, qualifying in Leicester and the Shenzhen Open.
Two main events, then qualifying
The British Open runs from 31 August to 6 September in Cheltenham. The English Open follows on 7–13 September in Brentwood. These are separate tournaments: a player’s result in Cheltenham does not determine the draw in Brentwood.
Three qualifying blocks follow in Leicester: Northern Ireland Open qualifying on 13–16 September, International Championship qualifying on 17–19 September, and Scottish Open qualifying on 20–23 September. The country in a tournament’s name is not necessarily the country where its qualifying rounds take place.
Check the current event name
WST’s current schedule lists the Shenzhen Open for 28 September–4 October. An earlier provisional season calendar used Xi’an Grand Prix for that slot. Our calendar follows the current listing and retains a note explaining the difference.
This is a schedule briefing, checked on 5 September, rather than a live results service. For session times, draws and any late changes, follow the organiser’s current match centre.
